Belgium boasts a rich live action roleplay (LARP) scene that spans its multilingual regions. The community is vibrant but often split by language – "the key question (as always in Belgium) is in which language" a given event runs. Major LARP associations and clubs operate in Flanders (Dutch-speaking) and Wallonia (French-speaking), with the bilingual capital Brussels occasionally hosting events. From grand medieval fantasy battles to intimate horror experiences, Belgian LARP caters to many genres. The Belgian LARP Federation (BE Larp) supports the hobby nation-wide, and local groups frequently connect with international LARP networks. (Belgian players often travel to blockbuster events like ConQuest in Germany or Empire in the UK, but below we focus on events held in Belgium.)
