Malaysia's LARP scene also features a Vampire: The Masquerade chronicle – a modern horror parlour LARP inspired by the classic tabletop RPG. This chronicle, sometimes nicknamed "[City] by Night", continues a legacy of Vampire-based LARP in Malaysia dating back to small con games in the 2000s. Sessions are story-driven and dialogue-heavy, emphasizing alliances, betrayals, and the personal drama of undead life (with rules from Vampire: The Masquerade Live-Action systems). The primary language is English (with local Malay cultural elements occasionally woven into character lore).
