Description: Gimle is an annual low-fantasy international LARP (est. 2016) that attracts both Swedish and foreign players. It takes place at Hästekasen Gård in Bohuslän (about 90 km north of Gothenburg), where a rustic fantasy settlement is brought to life each summer. Players form medieval-esque factions, engage in collaborative storytelling and boffer combat, and enjoy an inclusive, festival-like atmosphere in the woods. Marketed to international participants – the primary language is English and the event emphasizes community and cultural exchange.

Description: Krigshjärta is a collaborative campaign set in a gritty low-tech fantasy world plagued by war. The story centers on a large-scale conflict between the fascist empire Cordovien and the capitalist guild "Gillet," with numerous nations caught in between. Events range from big battles (hundreds of participants) to smaller character-driven scenarios, allowing for both combat action and deep roleplay. Players are expected to create immersive characters with appropriate costumes, contributing to the high realism and production value of the game. The campaign, run by an association based in Stockholm, hosts around 6 in-person larps per year across Sweden – for example, a major event was held in northern Sweden in Spring 2025. Krigshjärta has gained international recognition in the Nordic LARP community, though events are primarily in Swedish.

Bland gravklot och skålgropar is designed for youth (ages ~9–12, with families participating on certain days) and is free to attend. It was run as multiple short sessions over a weekend in August 2025. The event is in Swedish and organized by a local creative group, making history fun and accessible for new LARPers.

Description: Outpost Elysium is a new international post-apoc event – a spinoff set in the same universe as BBR, but at a fresh location (the Bockaby urban training grounds) and with a renewed focus on role-play over airsoft combat. Players portray the inhabitants and visitors of a surviving settlement in the wastelands, facing faction conflicts, survival challenges, and moral dilemmas in a world after civilization's fall. The inaugural chapter ran May 29 – June 1, 2025 in Borås, Sweden and was a huge success, with robust storylines and immersive environments. International participants are encouraged – the game is conducted in English and draws a global crowd of post-apocalyptic LARP enthusiasts.

A darkly comedic pulp fiction LARP about a dysfunctional wannabe Satanic cult in 1950s America.

Description: Lord of Lies is a boutique 16-player larp set in 1949–1950, following a group of drop-outs trying (and spectacularly failing) to summon the Antichrist in a communal living setting. Despite the occult trappings, this is not a game of real sorcery or gothic horror – instead it's about the annoyances of communal life, unspoken hierarchies, and broken relationships under the guise of a satanic sex cult. Themes include power dynamics, exploitation, lies, and the gap between grand ambitions and petty reality. Expect heated arguments over dishes and absurd rituals with questionable substances, rather than actual devil worship. This event, organized by Atropos Studios, has run multiple times in Skara and gained a cult following. It is marketed internationally – runs are held in English and draw participants from across Europe.
